PROJECTS

I watched a season of The Bachelor for Research Purposes...
- To gain insight into user expectations for gameplay, we decided to base our game on the popular dating show, The Bachelor. As part of my research, I watched a season of the show, studying the dynamics and elements that users would be looking for in our game.
- I conducted extensive research on various dating simulation games to understand industry standards and gather insights into successful gameplay mechanics.
- Based on the cross-market analysis and client objectives, I created a user journey map to visualize the entire gameplay experience.

I created an interactive prototype for gameplay testing...
- To ensure consistency throughout the game, I developed a simple design system that provided a cohesive visual experience.
- Considering the branding of The Bachelor, I selected the appropriate font to enhance user recognition and create a cohesive experience.
- By using shades of red and pink, I incorporated elements of love and roses that are common in both the reality show and other dating simulation games.
- We presented the design to faculty members and obtained valuable feedback to ensure the game was as educational as possible.

I utilized UX writing standards to create a script...
- I meticulously crafted scripts for the different dates, ensuring each character had a distinct personality and engaging dialogue.
- Leveraging my storytelling skills, I presented educational information provided by Student Health Services in a humorous and entertaining manner.

I presented the project at the Feminism in Motion Conference...
- After developing the prototype, I had the opportunity to showcase the game at the prestigious Feminism in Motion Conference, where I shared our design process and insights.
- Additionally, the game was presented at the College of Charleston Expo, where we conducted user testing and gathered valuable feedback.
- Based on user testing, we identified certain pain points, including issues with navigation and the need for shorter gameplay options.

The impact we made...
- The game is currently undergoing testing by Student Health Services to determine the effectiveness of this educational delivery method in providing college-age students with comprehensive knowledge about contraceptives.

Playable Prototype!
